Inca Trail

The Inca Trail is inside of the wish lists of many travelers, but how many people really knows what the trek involves? In this case, we provide you with recommendations that will help the travelers to get prepared for one of their best experiences.

Pick a proper date for your trip:
The most popular and crowded months to make the Inca Trail are June and July, on those months the climate is warm and the visibility is at its best. However, the summer months of April to October are the less crowded, but there are still many travelers who book in those dates. In addition, the nights are warmer and the route is especially beautiful with more orchids on the way. The season of April to October is really good.

Know your destination:
In order to make the most of your day on the Inca Trail, we recommend reading "The Lost City of the Incas" by Hiram Bingham, the man who rediscovered Machu Pichu in 1911. It gives a wonderfull idea of the search and discovery of the site and includes a fascinating backgorund of the Incas, which is for sure an interesting thing for the travelers.

Do not forget permission and availability:
The Peruvian authorities allow a certain number of people to 500 a day which includes porters, guides and cooks, which will occupy most of the spaces. Therefore, it is imperative to plan ahead, as it may be difficult to obtain a permit. We recommend booking 3 months in advance.
